Ok Kabuki split her front toenail. The third one on her right foot. Its not bleeding, but she is limping a bit on that foot.
I goes just to the tip of the quick... should I cut the hanging piece off? or the whole toenail till where it splits?

    I'm just afraid of infection.

Wylie splits her declaw quite a bit, which iI walways take her to the vet for and they clip it up intil where it splits, All I can say is OUCH, then they wrap it and put it her on antibiotics, last time I waited and it got nasty, this is somehting i would never try myself. to me its too painful.

I went ahead and clipped the hanging part and then the other half until where it was split.

She's acting like its not even a bother to her. I didn't wrap it. It wasn't bleeding or anything. I think when she did it she must have pulled her toe or something and jsut made it sore. I don't think the toenail is what was making her limp.
