Kittens on the TV

Last night we were watching a vet program and they had a litter of 3 tiny kittens on there who had been born attatched together by a small amount of skin near the umbilical cord, when the vet cut them loose from each other they were crying out to the mother cat and my cats all ran to the table where the TV is and were looking for these kittens, especailly courtney she looked so worried, even when we turned the TV off she was looking under the table and looking at us like 'where are the babies I could hear them crying'!

Thats why I don't usually watch anything with crying kittens on the TV, does this happen to anyone else I wonder?

 

I've had cats that have done this as well. Lately my two kittens have been watching the Olympics with me. Romeo liked the gymnastics and Juliet is rather fond of track and field events.

 

My two kitties don't usually pay attention to the TV, but when they hear kitty sounds or dog sounds they perk up and seemed very concerned of the sounds. If they are coming from the TV they will then pay attention to the TV.

 

Vene (RIP) used to watch tv especially when cats and birds are on. Now, our 4 kitties will only perk up if they hear large cats like pumas, leopard, lions, etc. or barking dogs. :mrgreen:

Razberry..well... he doesnt watch TV for obvious reasons... main one-he doesnt have time

Lex however will watch TV all the time. He seems to like watching Americans Funniest videos, or whatevers on Discovery..

*shrugs* if theres things moving alot or quickly (even video games) he's there. lol

theres even video tapes for pets!! they are usually nature tapes with birds and such. :mrgreen:

 

When my kitties were babies, me and my roommate, just to see what would happen started making "mewling" noises like baby kittens from the other room. Both my cats came running in SO concerned!!

 

Mine don't really pay attention to the TV but at one time I must have had a person on my buddy list that everytime they would sign online my computer would make a screeching cat sound. One day I had my sound up too loud and all of the sudden this loud screeching cat noise came on and Tiddy went flying out of the room scared to death....after a few minutes he came walking back in very cautiously looking around. :mrgreen:

 

i have the very sound on my MSN beep! lol-- mostly scares the crap outta me when the volume has been left up load from listening to music *eyes shift*

Mine like nascar..lol..i guess its the cars zoomin round the track..but they all also luv the animal planet station!!

This was the Formula One Grand Prix racing earlier in the year. He also likes the bouncy television that the Biography Channel uses as it's logo between programmes!
