I'm so happy! My moms cat -fox- is having kittens!

Just one question: how long does it take before the belly starts showing? Fox' belly is quite big now, but we don't know how much time she has left in her pregnancy...

Oh, I can't wait. The second mom calles me, I'll rush over with my camera taking loads of pics to post here :D

 congratulations!! kittens are always a wonderful addition to a family! :y_the_best: (unless you didn't spay your cat and she broke out of the house, got pregnant and now you don't know what to do!)

i just had kittens so i know quite a bit about the whole process. the mum cat over here showed her belly a lot at about 3 1/2 - 4 wks. And i think that's probably unusual because our cat is very small. But here's a quote from a good site.

you can read the rest of this if you'd like at

    hope this helps![/u]

Congratulations. How exciting. A kitty I used to have had kittens and I can't remember when she started getting a bigger belly, but when it got close to her time to have the kittens she will start nesting...trying to find a place to give birth. Our kitty started to get ready in a closet and we gently guided her to our family and a box we had prepared for her. She was okay with that and stayed there. Best of luck :p

but don't get too too caught up in setting up a nesting place for your kitty, when Peanut was about to give birth we set everything up, only to find that she gave birth elsewhere!

    Thanks for all advice!
I know my mom has set up a box with some blankets in the room where fox use to sleep, but she is prepared that she might nest elsewhere...

A colleague of mine once had a cat who gave birth in her in-laws' new couch, hehe
