Kitties with the TV on

The post about talking to your kitties made me think of this.

Sometimes when I go out or to the store for a short time, I leave the TV on so my kitties will hear talking while I'm away and then they won't feel lonely.

Sometimes I'll even leave it on in a room that they are in and I'm not so they hear talking.

I don't know if this helps or not because sometimes when I get home they are not even in the room with the TV turned on but I still do it so they won't feel lonely. Of course, if I'm going to be gone longer than a short time, I don't leave the TV on.

Does anyone else do anything like that? :?: :?

Geesh, what I won't do for my kitties.

We do that too. When ever we go out, we put the tv on Animal Planet.

I wish I wasn't so concerned with my electric bill. I don't usually leave the TV on simply for the fact that I don't want to pay to power it (don't tell my kitties that, they'll feel hurt!)

But, I do leave lights on for them sometimes. (Why I don't worry about paying for that, don't ask. It doesn't make sense.)

I don't leave the TV on for Kyrre, but it feels wrong to leave him at home with no lights on :? I have no idea why, because it's rearly pitch-dark... Maybe just because I wouldn't like to be in the dark myself...? The exception is at night, then I turn off all the lights except one in the hall that can't be turned off.

That's cute about leaving on Animal Planet. I hadn't thought of that. I usually put on a channel with a Soap Opera on it or one with a Sports Event. I guess I'm thinking the Soap has talking like someone is there and a Sports Event has a nice hum drum sound that would be soothing. It probably doesn't even matter.

I also leave lights on so my poor little kitties don't have to be all alone in the dark. :)
