Well Kitty went to the vet today for her desexing and microchipping, but the desexing didn't happen. They checked out the heart murmur that they picked up the last time she was in and the vet thought that it had gotten considerably worse.

So, they just microchipped her and took some bloods and sent them off to the lab because some component in her blood was so thick it wouldn't run through the machines they had. Will get a call from the vet on monday when her blood results come back - will hopefully find out what's going on.

Kitty is glad to be home, and i bought her a little pressie for after her visit to the vet (thinking she was going to be desexed) but since she is a good litte girl, i gave it to her anyways.

Here are a few piccies of her and her new toy (i saw it yesterday when i was at the shops.. not looking for a toy at all and decided to get one seeing that your cats love them!)

She has been playing with it for about 30minutes or more.. LOVES it.
can see its going to be a winner!

Poor Kitty :( I hope she'll be ok, and that it's nothing serious.

Kyrre got one of those toys from Cassie on the first cat swap, he loves it! He has figured out that the mouse is uncatchable, so now he just lies next to it and guards it  Looks like Kitty is having a blast

Great pics of Kitty. :y_the_best: She's a very pretty girl. I'm sorry she was unable to get spayed. I hope the vet lets you know soon what is going on with her heart. I too hope it's nothing serious. Let us know what you find out. She's so cute.

well here is the update i promised. got the results back. nothing abnormal. they are suggesting that i go get a cardio ultrasound done on her and that can cost between AU$300-$500!! Anyways, at least the blood test was clear!!

im so sorry to hear about your kitty...do they recommend that before you consider spaying? i know heart problems can be very costly...

shes adorable though...great tail too!! :D

Costly!!! tell me about it. The vet would prefer to know what is causing the heart murmur.

The vet said i can get her desexed, but there is a great chance that she won't wake up from the anaesthetic. I am in two minds... anyways, i'll see how she goes - if she gets unbearable on heat, i'll be VERY tempted to get her desexed, And in the mean time, i can save up for that costly procedure!
