It's about 7:30 am Thursday and I am in my office moving everything to an interior office. Then will head out. All Interstates are gridlocked right now but the highway department plans to open all lanes to outbound traffic this morning to help ease the flow. Debating whether to head north, east, or west as I can go to Dallas, San Antonio, and Baton Rouge. Depending on traffic San Antonio looks like the best choice right now. Have places to stay with the boys in all three cities. Have family in Baton Rouge and that may be the least traffic but getting back to Houston after the storm may be a problem as Interstate bridges may be damaged.
We will lose power here in Houston for two weeks or more so I will try to let everyone know whats hapening as soon as I can.
    All for now.

About noon yesterday I-10 opened up both sides to flow west... I've never in my life seen anything like it. We had to go from y moms to the house and its only about a 30 miles drive.... took us over an hour...of course we navigated all through back roads...

There were sooo many people with animals and children on the sides of the roads... I didn't know what to do.

We had a water can on the truck (Granvel's welding truck) but how could we help every one?? Columbus is totally shut down. My mother lives about 13 miles north east of Columbus, and we live about 15 miles southof columbus...
So my house will probably get more than we will here. But everyone is safe
