I have a piece of lava rock which I bought at a fish store.. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this lowering PH>> Its the only type of accessory I have in my tank besides plants..
    Thanks

No, lava rock is inert and shouldn't affect the pH.

Hi drab911, Lava Rock itself will not lower PH. If you get a PH drop after putting Lava rock in the tank it is most likely some type of critters have gotten into the pores of the rock and it needs to be rinsed out real well before being put into the tank to remove any organic matter.
