Let's See Those Nicknames

On Dogster.com there is a place for nicknames but Let's also share them here.

Duke goes by two names, "Bongo Butt", because he loves for me to pat that rear end, and "Paducah Duke", I guess because it rhymes.

Freckles is "Doodle Bug" because he is just a furry bug. At he dog park he answers to "Speck" because it's easier to holler.

Pinky is "Pinky Winky"
Fancy is "Fancy Pants"
Bluebelle is "Booba" My 3 year old son calls her that.
Punkin is "Punky" & "wiggles"
Izzy was Izzys nickname her real name was Izabella. Princess and Katey have not picked up nicknames yet.

 

Sarge goes by:

Sargent Pepper Furry Pants (Sponge Bob Square Pants fans in the house!)
Sargento
Big Dawg
and most recently: Sargento the Destroyer

 

The name Nala doesn't seem to lend itself well to nicknames for some reason. I do call her Favorite Black Dog which of course makes Bonnie my Favorite Blue Dog. Naturally Nala has also been called Dog From Hell many times.

Bonnie, on the other hand, has limitless possibilities. She's my Bonster Monster, Bonnie Lass, Bonzer Dog, and of course I have to sing "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean" to her (but I do substitute Nala's name in every other line). My son calls Bonnie "Bon Bons" and of course we have to giggle over the sounds she makes when I get home from work and say "Bonnie Blue Moo's".

Where do we come up with these names? It's funny how you always seem to end up with silly little names for no particular reason sometimes, but thery just fit!

Jasmine is Big Mama, Jassie, PDA (pain in da a@#), miss priss, ect the list goes on and on for her. She even has a middle name for when she is in big trouble, Norece I probly didnt spell that right but oh well.

because when he is frustrated, or not getting his way, he makes these quite realistic chimpanzee-like noises :roll:

My dog's name is Petunia Penelope, I call her little lamb when she snuggles, Petey any other time, but best of all I call her SMELLY BUTT because she lets off some nasty gas...But I love her all the same

 

Sasha's are: chunky butt-when her curly coat grows. Its so cute.
Sweetie, evil temptress, beautiful.

Rufus's are: Goofus, pup pup, puppers,Boboy,stinker(his face still has an aroma of skunk when wet.

Grea nicknames, everybody! I've always thought it's funny how we always just sort of spontainiously come up with those kind of names, and pretty soon, everyone in the house is using them, and not even realizing what they're doing :lol:
