Yikes, friend told me according to her Father, that a Vet he was talking to said that clumping litter not good. The cat carrys the litter on feet licks it off, and ends up with it in their colon, not good for cats. He says alot of deaths to the animal. Because of this action.

I understand that older cats are okay with clumping litter as their intestines are large enough for any possible clumps to pass. Kittens clumping litter is a no-no. I recently switched to clumping litter for some reason.
It's one of those things - some vets recommend it, other don't. Like dry food only diets - some recommend some don't.
