Has anyone else been told that you could use Lysol to treat thrush?

    Does it work?

    Just wondering.

Never heard lysol, but my farrier recommended a diluted bleach solution.

  3. Lysol might work because thrush is a bactarial fungus and Lysol kills bacteria. I would not use it however because horses hooves tend to be more sensative when they have thrush. My gelding I used too own was abandoned in a muddy/mucky stall. Afterwards, he was constantly getting thrush and abseces. I found that just store bought thrush killer works.

I have heard of the bleach to and yes it works, very well!
