We have a new maltipoo female 7 pound puppy. She is very difficult to train. We have always had poodles and had no problems. We had her in a crate for the first week but she soiled in the crate all the time. The lady we bought her from said she had probably gotten used to going in the crate in the store. She sleeps in a guest bathroom on a carpet bed and rarely soils in that room. She does pee and poo outside almost always when we take her but also goes in the kitchen very often. (we have her enclosed in a large area in the kitchen). I dont know what to do because it is difficult to live this way..any suggestions? I called a dog trainer but it is so costly and she actually didnt even want to tell us a price without first interviewing the dog. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Elizabeth

Hi, does she do this when she is with you, or only when she is confined to a room?

If its only when she can not see you then you have a dog that is suffering from seperation anxiety.
What reaction does she get when she does her business in the house, There is no point telling her off after she has done it as she will not understand what she being told off for.

You really need to catch her in the act and give her a firm NO and then put her outside.
When she does her business outside praise her even give a small treat so that she associates going out and going potty gets rewards, doing it indoors gets a NO.

Someone else maybe able to give you some better advice.

    Mike
