Well I think I ended up getting the food for cockatiels however it said also for some small hookbeaks... but it has later O's and stuff.. so anywyas I went out and bought a few millet spray things... they are about 12" long and Marley just LOVES them she shes has eaten half of one in less then a day.. I am happy because she is finnally eating but should I take it away from her? and how long before I should give her another one... I am going to buy some proper food today and maybe even some pellets... could people please give me some advice as I dont want her over eating or becoming too picky to the millet.. thanks

I usually give mine millet spray about once or twice a week.

Most birds I've had like millet spray better than their normal food and would always choose millet spray over their regular seed.

Just a word about the pellets. Don't just giver her a bowl of pellets, mix a little in with the rest of her seed. I managed to switch Buster over to pellets this way, but Kiwi refuses to eat them. He would pick out all the pellets and throw them away.

By mixing them atleast you know she is getting the nutrition from the seeds if she decides she doesn't want the pellets.

Hi millet spray should only be given once or twice a week as the bird will soon get used to just having it hanging there and not needing to goto the food dish..

Pellets where not originally made for budgies or birds smaller than the cockatiel or parrot they can be very high in fat which is bad for budgies.
I would not bother with the pellets but a good quaility seed and fresh fruit and vegtables is usually enough to keep your bird fit and healthy..
