Just got word to take the boys out to the park this coming Sunday morning as Animal Planet will be filming a segment on the park to be shown during coverage of the upcoming Eukanuba Tournament of Champions here in Houston scheduled for October 1, 2005. Once word gets out, and it's already listed on the Houston Dog Park Association web site, I'm sure every dog in Houston will be there Sunday morning but it will be a fun event. If I do manage to get the boys on the show I'll let everyone know.
Freckles will stand out in the crowd due to his color and tail but there are always crowds of Yellow Labs so I will have to put a red bandana on Duke so he will be different.
Animal Planet picked up on the story about Dog Fancy Magazine selecting the park as the number one park in the US.

Awesome! My parents are looking for a city to move to for retirement, and I have been looking at their choices with an eye toward maybe moving ourselves to be closer to them. The last couple places I looked at had no info that I could find about dog parks. I thought about you and how your city has built all those cool parks and was thinking I could start a group and try to get a park built if we move. I bet that takes years, though. :|

    Jamiya,
This site for the Houston Dog Park Association has information on how to start a dog park in your area. Look at the bottom of the opening page for that link.
