anyone ever had a cat get constipated??? My lil Chyanne is having some problems going potty..She can go a lil bit and its really watery when she does but she is back and forth to the litter box.. The vet is going to see her on Monday but just seeing what everyone else thinks bout this???? I did change her food the other day b/c i had ran out of the Natrual Choice i usually feed her and gave them some Iams but I gave it to all teh other cats not just Chy and now shes the only one having the problem...

Kyrre was constipated once. He would go peeing but not pooing in the litterbox, and he ate a little less than normal. I called the vet and they told me to take him in right away (I don't think they thougt of it as an emergency, but they had some time available) The vet told me it might be worms, so I gave him a treatment for that, and they also sendt with me some kerosine in a syringe to give him if things weren't better after a day or two.
The next day I was getting so worried that I gave him the kerosine and after a few hours he went pooing. I've never been so happy to see kitten poo  I never found out if it was the pills or the kerosine that worked though...

I've never had any problems switching food, but then I've only done it once. I hope everything goes well with Chyanne! :y_the_best:

Good luck at the vet appointment. Milo was recently constipated due to the hot and muggy weather. He wasn't eating and drinking much and to my surprise did the butt scoop at 100 miles per hour. Luckily, he's back to normal. He has been going out lately so I hope he doesn't have worms.

Sorry it took so long to get back... anyways the night before I went to take Chyanne to the vet she was going potty normally... So the next day it was almost time to leave and she went running to the litter box and it was still normal. But I took her in anyways.. The first thing the doc asked was if I changed foods? I told him that I only did that one night and then after that she had her normal food, and is using the potty ok.. He didnt seem very concered and just told me to keep an eye on her and that if it happens again without me changing foods to give them a call... Sooo im soo happy!!! She is getting older so thats why I kinda freaked out a lil... shes becommin a senior  and it seems like just yesterday she was a kitten... She still acts like one though thats for sure... Her doc did however recommend her gettin on a diet!!! That she isnt to overweight but is getting up there. That hes not to worried bout it right now but to keep watch and cut back her food.. b/c now that she is inside all the time she dont get nearly as much playtime as she is used to.. Poor girl she loves to eat
