Missing my Annie girl...

I just dropped Annie off to be spayed...I know it's a routine thing, but I still can't help but be nervous for my baby. But I'm sure she'll be fine and she'll be home tomorrow morning...but it sure is quiet without those tags jingling.

She's home!! She's been sleeping all day, but the incision looks great...she's being a good girl and not bothering it. So nice to have her back home.

did they give you a cone to wear? well nto you but fo annie? once the stitches start to dry out they start to itch and the dog can start licking an dopen the wound up so you want to keep an eye on her for next several days

glad to hear she is okay

Nope, they didn't give me cone. But she got a nice t-shirt material hoodie for Christmas that has a drawstring on the bottom hem, so I've got her wearing that to keep the stitches covered when I'm not right with her. Probably won't help once they really start itching, but if she starts bothering them I'll go up and get a cone.

Thank you! She's really a great dog...and definetely very peppy...it's pretty weird to see her lay on the couch and sleep all day like this, but I guess I shouldn't complain..hehe

Good job Someday and Annie :y_the_best:

Within a few days, you'll probably be complaining that you can't keep her still  Our Dachshund was trying to play ball while still coming out of the anes. and it was impossible to keep her calm for the 10 days, so quiet is definitely better.

I'm glad to hear Annie is doing well! Piper was almost back to normal by the end of day #2. She did great for several days until her incision began to heal, then she pulled out the middle staple. I took her back to the vet and they told me not to worry, it would be fine. That was until the next day when she licked her incision open while I was at work! Eventually she healed up and now (2 months later) you cannot even see the incision. Anyway, if you can, keep a good eye on her once she begins to heal and itch. But even if she does open her wound back up, I wanted to let you know it will still be ok. :|
