Missy is such a good little nurse

I had a lower molar pulled last week and Missy has done her best to nurse me back to health - sleeping close to me, on my lap, sits and watches me.
Today back to the dentist - I do believe I have dry socket and it FREAK'IN HURTS
anyway all I want to do is go home and curl up with the kitties as they make me feel better.
Do you think they understand when we are ill or hurting? All 4 have been hanging out with me. They sit and simply watch me - I keep asking them "what what" I think they know

Tennessee used to love laying on my dad's shoulder while he was in the recliner. Then, after he had shoulder surgery, she wouldn't do it. After his shoulder healed, it took a long time before he could convice her that it was okay to lay there again.

My cats stayed right by my side when I had my first foot surgery. They also are always right there if I have a fever.

Copper LOVES the menthol-type muscle rub stuff. When I was putting it on my shoulder last few weeks I would wake up and find him up/on that shoulder too. He was like my big 'ol heating pad.

Hi Mary_NH. How are you feeling? Do you have a dry socket? I definitely think our fur animals know when we are not well.

yes Chess I do have a classic case of dry socket.
My dentist said since I'm the purrfect picture of health for my age  he left it alone.
2 Advil and 1 Tylenol combo and it is absolutely AMAZING. Within minutes the pain was gone and I was fine for hours. Had to repeat after dinner but what an amazing combination.
Feels better now - the site is actually healing well so he left it alone.
The kitties didn't crowd me last night either - they knew
