My parents are at their wits end with their cat Milo, who has been spraying EVERYTHING in sight! My dad has a 40some-odd thousand dollar entertainment system that he keeps spraying. He'll spray the tires on cars and bikes, tables, walls, fences, bushes, you name it! My dad has threatened to get rid of the cat because no matter what they try, he wont stop.
Well, I told my dad you're not getting rid of the cat...I'll find a way. So...Any suggestions? He's fixed and is an outdoor/indoor cat.

I'm so sorry, I really hope you find something that helps :( I've never had this problem, so I'm not an expert. Maybe you could try the ssscat cat deterrent?

But since he is spraying everywhere that might be difficult? :0011:

    Good luck!

is there a male cat hanging around outside?
if your parents will spend the money there is something called a Feliway diffuser that helps cats to relax and does help with the spraying thing.

Has he been neutered? Having an unneutered male is one of the #1 causes of spraying.

Yes, he's neutered and I'm sure there are a couple of strays walking around outside. There is one that comes around all the time(we leave food out for him). He's skittish around people, but always hangs out with my cats. He wouldn't be a problem would he? I've seen the Faliaway before, I can try that.

Is there also a way to keep him away from the entertainment system? I think if we atleast keep him to outdoor spraying, they wont care as much.

there are products you can buy that help keep a cat from scratching furniture - it has an odor cats don't like but aren't offensive to people. I used it to keep a cat I had from scratching my sofa and she wouldn't come near the sofa she hated the smell so much.

How about taping some cat treats, onion smelling or citrus smelling products to the entertainment system? We used to feed a stray cat and our Milo (also neutered) used to spray outside bushes to mark his territory over the stray cat. This behavior stopped when the stray was PTS due to feline AIDS.

Try the ssscat deterent spray to keep him away from the entertainment system. It works for me as long as I leave the can there and turned ON! Copper sprayed the turned off can today... :x
