More on Ritchie and photos

Since his surgery I've been keeping him in my bedroom which he has not been too happy about. On Tuesday he escaped from my room twice and was just hanging out with the other cats when I got home from work...bedroom door was wide open. I think Bean may have been his accomplice. So the last 2 days I've let him out of the room after work until later in the evening and he is so happy...so happy and relaxed that I think it makes him more comfortable around me. I've been calling him and he looks at me with his head tilted and has even come curiously over towards me twice now when I've called him. Yesterday he had catnip for the first time. It was hillarious watching him roll around in it. I think he really enjoyed it.
Other than the eye, he is doing great and seems extremely happy (as long as he's not locked in my room).

Now about the name.......
I think I still may change it. I wanted to quickly pick a name because I did'nt want to leave him nameless and my roommate suggested Richard so I figured Richie might be kind of a cute name. Has anyone else wondered why I added a "t" to Richie? My sister asked me that the other day. Well, when I made his first appointment the receptionist at the vet spelled it that way so I figured that was how it was supposed to be spelled. LOL. I think it is really supposed to be Richie without the "t" though. Anyway, in the meantime I've been calling him Munchkin so he probably thinks thats his name now. Don't really want that to be his name either though. So, I have no idea what his name will end up being in the future. :mrgreen:
I've never had this much trouble choosing a name before but then again, I've never taken in a cat like this one. Just wanted to explain this so that you all don't think I'm nuts if I change his name yet again down the road.

You can really see the eye/nose scratch in this one. It looks dark in the picture but its actually pink/reddish...almost looks like a brush burn.

 

Your little kitty kitty is so cute, quite a little character too! I'm so glad he is so social! He looks a bit like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals. LOL's. He looks like he has hair parted down the middle. :mrgreen: Thank you for the pics and the updates!

What a pretty cat. I'm glad he is doing so well. Best of luck with the name stuff. Sometimes it is hard to figure out a good name. Keep us posted.
