moving my cat's food

I need to move my cat's food from one room to another. It tends to attract roaches where it is. Unfortunately, he is not cooperating. He refuses to eat it in the new location and walks around the old location looking for it and crying. I have returned it to the old location, but really need to move it. Any suggestions?

have ya tried one of those elevated dishes..keeps the food off the floor.. may help...or if you try giving treats to him or her in the new room where the food is going to go..that may work..good luck!

I'd keep just a few bites of food in the old room and place the new food in the new room until the cat adjusts. That's a great idea giving treats in the new room rcrgal! There are food bowls that are designed to repel bugs.

    Petsmart has fool-a-bug bowl:

ebay has ant free pet bowl which may work on cockroaches:

Catnip is a natural deterrent of cockroaches. It's too bad it cannot be used on homes with cats in it.

    Also try:
