I have 2 cats & one huge litter box for both of them & a kitty litter mat

    box

now none of these Is the problem what is is this

after the cats use the box they still track litter into the floor & at 3Am in the morning going to the potty this Is not the best feeling in the world

we are using tidy cat mupital cat kitty litter but the box still smells even after I clean it

so my husbands wants to find a kitty litter that will not track as much & won't stink so much either I love the way that fresh steps smells but it will still track out of the box

we used the pellets before but they don't hold down the order as well as the clay litters so I'm looking for the best order holding & less tracking litter that there is what do you recommend???

Try Arm and Hammer. It doesn't track or stink although my cats love to kick the litter out of their box.

There is a Arm and Hammer cat litter topic on the second page where they discuss kitty litter. Maybe that would be helpful to you.

I use Tidy Cat, too but wonder if I should change litter. I've heard that kitties don't always like to have a different kitty litter than the one they are used to so I'm a little hesitant to try something. new.

Sometimes they care and sometimes they don't. I'd suggest slowly adding more of the new litter every week. Like doing 60% old and 40% new and then slowly making it 50/50 and so on and so forth. Gives them time to associate new texture and scent with what they're used to.

I use Tidy Cat and Arm & Hammer (when I can find it in the large boxes). Instead of a plastic mat I use carpet mats...like the kind you put just outside your doorway for people to wipe there shoes on. I bought them at D&K for like $1.59 and they definately help keep the cats from tracking litter. I also saw another type of mat at Petsmart that looked like it would work really well to prevent tracking. It had long pieces of some kind of material all over it.

Thanks for the suggestion, PilotKitten. I may try that.
