    Hi everyone..
I have a 16 year old male cat who has had dental issues in the past (5+ years ago).
He only has 2 teeth left and one of them (near the front of his lower jaw) is very loose. He is able to eat and drink so far and he is behaving normally. I'm wondering if I should run him right to the vet or let nature take it's course...Just looking for an opinion...
    Thank you.

is it one of the little bitty teeth or a canine? My vet told me it's quite common for cats to loose those little bitty teeth with no problem (can easily fall out on their own).
Hopefull Chessmind, our people dentist, will see this and give you a better answer than I can.
If the gums are red/swollen I would think a vet trip would be in order

I would agree with Mary, check his gums and if they are red and swollen I would take him to the vet. He may need assistance if they are infected that would only make him that much more unhappy.
