my cat won't eat please help!!!

my cat will not eat at all i took him to the vet he said watch we have tried warm milk i heard baby food works i am worried please help

 

Did the vet do any bloodwork, or say anything that it might be? If not, you should probably get a second opinion.

You can try feeding him/her Nutracal (it's a supplement you can find at most pet stores), or tuna with the water from the can. Baby food might work, but make sure it doesn't have onions in it. How old is your cat? Is it drinking water still?

 

is there a health problem that is keeping your cat from eating?
For a cat to simply stop eating is unusual.
You could syringe feed
mixture of NutraCal (bought at any pet store), AD cat food (from the vet) watered down with Pedialyte and add a little Karo corn syrup. Make it really soupy.
Get a plastic syringe from your vet (usually free) and feed with that. Feed slowly cause you don't want to get any food up the cat's nose/into the lungs. Try to get at least a 1/4 cup into the cat per day.
But you really need to find out why she's not eating.....as suggested get a complete blood panel done. Maybe there's a tooth issue going on that needs to be dealt with.

 

Usually he's a pretty healthy eater. We tried switching foods and that worked for about a day- then he went back to not eating. He's refusing both wet and dry food.. The vet said that he seemed to be in perfect health- just suffering from some weight loss. We can't tell if he's still drinking water or not-- but he IS still grooming himself and the vet said that's a good sign. I might try the tuna idea and see how that works..

 

the tuna worked but now he is stealing food off the table and now i wonder if he is just being a brat and being picky
