my cat recently got neutered and now he wont eat. he ate a lot the first day after returning from getting neutered, but hasnt ate in 2 days. its been 4 days since being neutered. should i take him to the vet or try to wait it out and he will eat when he is hungry?

Hi, and welcome to the cat forum :)

You should take him to the vet. Has he been drinking? A cat that doesn't eat in days can get very ill, even worse if he hasn't been getting enough water...

:m23: and welcome! It sounds serious. Please call your vet right away and explain the situation. Cats will go downhill fast without food and water. In the meantime, please purchase Nutracal, a nutrient rich suppliment and apply some on the nose or paws. Pedialyte may also be helpful. After my kitties have been neutered/spayed, or had dental care, they all bounced back after a day or so. How's your furbaby doing now?
