So Saturday we were just finishing feeding up and I put Hope and Precious outside to potty. Well, apparently Vader hadn't finished eating and Hope ran right up to her and Vader turned to bark and snap at her to tell her to "keep away" and accidentally caught her right across the face.

I was freeking out. she was bleeding out her eye, both nostrils and mough and ear... I just knew something horrid was wrong. her face wasn't right either.
So I rushed her in to Dr. Zeplins and we go her cleaned up. Her whole head swelled up like a ballon. She had to stay until Mondya afternoon and Monday they took X-rays. She's got a break and splinterd the bones right between her eyes and nose... the volmer, orbital boen and frontal bone....

her eye seems ok. and she's got some trouble breathing out her nose but thats just from the swelling. We hope it heals well. they gave her lots of meds, steroids and IV's. Said there wasn't much she could do. But let it heal on its own and if there are any splinters left over, they would have to go in there and remove the bone fragments. Luckily she's a very young pup and it didn't displace the bones, their lined up pretty well...

    Please pray for my baby!!!

Ugh.. I don't know WHAT i'll do without her... I go ther home now. she's bouncing off the walls and acting like her normal self.. but she looks horrible.. i've just got to figure out a way to get her to sit still!!!!

I don't blame Vader. It wasn't her fault, she just turned and Hope was right there closer than she thought. She's just being a momma and teaching them that they can't run over her any more. Poor Hope was just at the wrong place at the wrong moment....

It's amazing how high the canine pain threshhold must be. I'd be laid up for weeks if that had happened to me. I would say "hope she feels better soon" but I guess she already is so I'll just say hope she LOOKS better soon.
Know that must have been a terrifying experience for you.
