My kitties new condo

Well, we received Socks and Mittens' new condo and got it all put together. It has been up for almost a week now but neither cat has gotten on it by themselves.

Here are a couple of pictures of it. We put Mittens on it and she stayed there for a little while.

We have it in the living room right now and we are thinking of moving it. Does anyone have any suggestions on a better place to put it? Does your kitties that have them like then in a certain place?[/img]

 

I have Boogers in front of a window. She loves the view. It's odd that they haven't taken to it right off. I barely had Booger's in the door and she was already climbing it

 

I had mine in the corner of my living room and they didnt use it much. Once i moved it in front of the window and they loooove it!!!! They use it all thetime!

 

mine is also in front of a window and gets used often. You could also try a catnip spray and spray it

 

That's a great condo Let's hope the girls will start using it.

 

Definately in front of a window. I don't have one like that (I made ours) but that sure is nice!

 

I got it on ebay. It is a nice one. I'll have to try some catnip spray. I did sprinkle a little catnip on it but that didn't help. The kitties rolled around the bottom area and ate the stuff there but still didn't go up it.

I like the window idea. It is near a window but not in front of one. Maybe I'll move it to the dining room closer to the window or maybe in front of the window in the family room. Gotta think on that.

Catnip spray is a good idea - I tried it on my condo and my cats liked it.

Very nice condo! Your kitties will use it all year round if it's kept near a window. Ours is set up in a corner of our living room with no access to windows and it gets used more in the winter time. However, Rene and Milo uses it all year round.

 

Well, I've moved the condo out near the dining room window now and no kitty has gone on it. I must have unusual kitties (tee hee).

In fact now it is in a spot where when we put Mittens on it she can step over to the dining room table very easily and she is not allowed on the dining room table. She doesn't seem to get that. I thinks she thinks we put the condo there so she could go on the table.

Socks is so chubby, I don't think she can get onto the condo easily.

My next step is to put it in the family room directly in front of the window.
I have a feeling they might like that. Socks can get onto it there since there is a lower shelf near the window she could get on to first.

I'll get my money's worth out of this thing yet. :lol:
