Hi there is nothing to worry about all birds peck and bite there nest boxes this is normal behaviour and will not o them any harm aslong as the wood is not treated with a wood stain.
The male will usually bite and tap on the nest to get the female to notice him and that he has chosen a safe place to nest.

Wing flapping is there way of excersising there wings this again is normal behaviour.

How old are these birds they should not be allowed to have eggs until they are atleast 18months old as until then they are still growing and maturing.

Sounds like they are over 12months old as they would still have barring if younger.

Do not worry to much as you will notice if the birds chew off some wood they usually drop it on the cage floor they very rarely try and eat it.
