My new albino cockatiel for some reason will jump off his perch and hit the front of the cage and then flip out and fly around hitting the sides of his cage. I am afraid he will injure his wing by hitting in on the side of the cage or getting it stuck in the bars. He even does it when his cage is covered at night. Once in a while my cat will spook them but even when she isn't around he does it. Is there anything I can do to make him stop? He also paces the bottom of his cage sometimes, I think that means he just wants to come out to play. He is also just a baby, about 3 1/2-4 months old.

This is normal at that age the slightest of noises can spook them out.
When he does this when his cage is coverage is classed as a night terror which means a noise has frightened him and he is thrashing around trying to escape.

The only thing you can do is kep handling him as much as posible introduce different sounds and noises like music the vacum kids running around stuff like that during this process talk calmly to him.

The more relaxed you can make him feel the better he will become.
