Kiko is my newest foster. I was contacted on Wednesday about him and told them I would take him in but that I needed a week to get things in order. So Leslie seemed to be OK with that but then she calls me back the next day to say KiKo's card has been pulled and he is getting euthanized TODAY!! So I had to rush around like a mad woman trying to figure out where I was going to put him! Not to mention the four hour drive ahead of me to pick him up. But anyway I made it there safely and on time to spring Kiko outta doggy jail. He's a beautiful boy and so far he seems very sweet and easygoing. He is sitting right beside me with his head in my lap. He's such a lover! He hasn't met the other dogs yet IM going to take it slow. Can you believe someone would not want this beautiful boy? He was an owner turn in the reason being was the lady could not get him potty trained and he jumped on everyone who came in the house so she just couldn't keep him anymore. She said she paid $2000 for him and that he was meant to be a show dog but she just didn't have time to bother with it. Grrrrrrr Some people! What a lame ass EXCUSES!!
    Anyway heres KIKO

I can'T believe you taking in another one! He does look really pretty. I can't believe that owner was so terrible, get a dog and not be able to train it at all to use the bathroom outside, yea the jumping thing takes lots of work, but it is so much better that he ended up with you and not crazy not training lady. Once again you get the award for kindest heart!

Oh wow!!! Gina, I got a chow pup the other day as well....I had her euthanized sadly though. She was sooo emaciated, It took just about all I had not to throw up when I looked at her. She was just too far gone to help. Its really sad when things like that come along. But at least she went with a full tummy and lots of love.

Poor girl. She was a black and brown chow chow, and the people that had her said she was 12 weeks. She looked about 5-6weeks old. Every bone in her body showed, Her weight should have been around 10-12 lbs, she weighed 4.2 lbs. Every effort was taken, but due to the severity of her neglect, there was nothing more we could do but help her lift her head, and feed her one last time.

Gina, you won't have that beautiful boy long!!!!

I know I have already gotten four applications and to many calls to count on him. He is such a beautiful boy though! And sweet oh my gosh he's the sweetest! He and Pinky are in love with each other they run and play together like puppies. Fancy is not to impressed and neither is Punkin. Bluebelle and Bruiser are still undecided but we have introduced them all slowly except for Pinky she was with me the day I got Kiko because she cries for hours when I leave. So my husband said oh no she's going with you! LOL
Sorry to hear about the little chow baby Sams. :(

I have so much admiration for people who do rescue and foster work. I've done it in the past, but only with one animal at a time. I also did horse rescue work for a couple of years. Its very unusual to find a chow that is as sweet as this one! Due to BYBs, it seems almost every Chow I've come across has been mean and nasty. I've only known 3 or 4 nice ones! But when you find a good one, they are very, very good, it seems! Good luck, and I'm sure you'll find Kiko the kind of home he deserves.
