Can I use natural foliage (like branches from our trees, etc) for finches, and if so what kind? Do I need to boil them or bake them or something first to kill anything living in them? What about leafy foliage of some kind?

If you use natural branch's for perches then all you need to do is scrub the thoroughly with some salf water and place them in a hot oven for about 20mins do not worry they do not catch fire lol

You could also hang dark grean leafy cabbage leaves from the cage giving them something to play with and eat.
