I have found myself with 3 orphan kittens that will be 5 weeks tomorrow. Their momma was taken away by the owners when they moved and they left the kittens behind.
2 of then are eating soild food pretty well, but not great. The other one seems to have no clue what to do with the food. I was hoping someone could offer some advice on how to improve their eating. They are so sweet and I have decided to keep them all. I'm afraid he'll get sick if I can't get him to eat. I thought about getting a bottle for him tomorrow but 5 weeks seems a little old to start with that. Please help!

not sure what all those links said, but i know things on this matter since during my time working for the vet i had to raise a young kitten.

whatever u do, DONT feed them cow milk. that will cause them to get sick and get diarrea.. which in turn could severely dehydrate them.

At that age i would not even give them tuna, it could turn their young bellies.

There IS a cat milk substitute available at your local vet hospital in a can where u just add water.

depending on the age of the kittens u may also need to stimulate them to use the bathroom. u can do this by using a soft, damp, warm cloth. You rub whichever area just as a moher cat would to stimulate them.

    Good luck!

my last litter of fosters were about that age when I got them and they were eating fine and using the litterbox fine. Have you had them checked by a vet yet? Could be a reason why one isn't eating well. You might also give some NutraCal in their food for the extra vitamins

If you haven't done so already please take the kittens to the vet to check for diseases, worms, vaccinations, and good overall advice.
