I am worried. I have a 9 week old kitten that is vomiting clear foamy liquid and has a white runny diarrhea. What can I do since the vet doesn't open until Monday? He was fine yesterday around 7pm but last night he started vomiting and I don't know why. He is an outdoor kitten with 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

The best reccomendation I can give it go to a 24hour emergency vet, or one thats open 7 days. I think clear vomit is water.
But this can't go on all weekend because by the time you get an appointment, she's going to be extremely dehydrated and will make things much worse for both of you. Every time she vomits/has a bout of diarrhea, she looses alot of water from her body.
She probably got into something outside...Anything from a plant to poison someone could have left out.

    Reguarding my sick kitten

I was able to speak to a vet on the phone even though he had just checking his voice mail and was calling me from away from his office. He said to keep kitten on water and/or pedialite. You may be right about the plant thing. My kittens stay outside (normally) and I have elephant ears that they like to play in. The vet said it is very possible that he could have eaten on one of them. I am going to take him to a vet if I can tomorrow.

Thank you for answering and I hope your weekend is a good one.

You're very welcome, Im glad you got a hold of a vet. Pedelite(or however you spell it) is really good, if you can get her to drink it.

Best of luck on the kitten kittie and keep us posted!

Nutra-cal is a good suppliment in addition to Pedialyte that you can dab on his paw or nose to get him to lick it. It will give himr added nutrients until the vet visit. They sell it in most pet stores. I hope your baby will feel better soon.

Well unfortunately my vet closed early today. So I have to keep on with the water and/or pedialite treatment until Monday. We have an emergency clinic but they told me to take my little kitten (his name is CJ) to the vet on Monday. I do hope all turns out well. He is the only one in his littler who looks like his momma. He has stripes, dots and swirls on him, an M on his forhead and he is so tiny and sweet. He slept with me all night last night. When he wasn't sleeping in his little bed I made for him he was sleeping on me lol. I was getting hopeful last night when he ate some food that I was trying to give him. Even though he is old enough and has been eating on his own his mom still lets them feed on her (they are almost 3 months old now) and today he wouldn't eat so I put him with his mom and he nursed. He is moving around good and even climes me when I'm not giving him enough attention.

I promise to keep everyone updated and when we see the vet and he gets better I will post pictures of him and his siblings as well as my 6-toed Egyptian Mouser kitty.
