Recently I went on vacation in North Carolina and stopped at a little framing shop that had a kittens for adoption sign posted outside. When I went inside, there must have been 50 cats and kittens, at least half of which were roaming around free. The conditions, in my opinion were deplorable. Not clean at all, and many of the cats had moderate to severe URI's, which the lady said she was only treating by wiping the cats eyes.

Now I fully believe that this lady has the best intention, but it is quite clear that she is extremely overwhelmed. My question is, should I report her to someone (who?) or should I let it go. I only have the animals best interest at heart here.

    Signed,

    Curious :?:

    I would report her.
A story - my sister went to the Harley convention last year and they ran into something similar in Wisconsin. She called me and I told her to find out where the closest SPCA was - and she did. She never found out what happened but she felt good that she at least did something...which is much more than most people do.
See if you can find, online perhaps, an SPCA closest to that town and send them an email.

Report it - you can have a voice for those poor cats. No one can fix it if they don't know it's broken. I bet if you feel something is wrong, then it is.

You'd get one big gold star for getting those kitties help!

I would report it too... Even if she has their best interest in mind, they suffer from her lack of knowledge.

Definately report it. I think those people are called hoarders, right? They do have good intentions, but not very good actions as far as care goes.

Please report this lady. NC has been doing badly this year with animal hoarders (I hear about them every night!) and if no one reports them, these poor animals are doomed to stay there.

You can add my voice to the 'report it' list. Horders have the best intentions but I don't think this is hording since they're "adopting" them out. And places that do legal adoptions insure that the babies have their shots, are spayed/neutered and healthy.

It sounds to me like these folks are just farming kittens for money. And in my heart, farmers are more horrific than horders. At least the horders care about their babies weather or not they can care for them. Farmers on the other hand are just peddling furrflesh IMHO.

If you don't want to report it, pm me with the location address and I'll report it.

report it. if they havent been reported by now the people who go there most likely feel sorry for the people and if you don't report them then they will most likely never be reported and those cats will never get good homes.
