    me through my paces
Aeja - parasites but eating and she was spayed yesterday. My first meezer in heat - not something I wish to go through again. Last night was the first night we got any sleep. Dental disease so her breath is WRETCHED. Everyone inquiring about her is being told she'll need dental work pronto. She's doing well, gainig weight and has a slew of interested adopters. We don't get many lynxpoints here and I knew she was going to go quickly which is why she stayed in NH.

Lonnie - sick kitty. Couldn't be spayed, hopefully will be well enough by next Tuesday to have the surgery. Parasites galore which I think we finally have under control. Earmites to the point where she's been digging up her head so I'm dealing now with head abrasions. But she's no longer so lethargic and is starting to gain weight. The parasites were bringing her down and w/out intervention I don't think this kitty would have lasted much longer.

These 2 kitties are my fosters 17 & 18 for Siamese Rescue and I haven't worked this hard on cats at all. I'm learning tons from them....my little guinea pigs LOL but the important thing is they are on the mend and life is looking much better for them.

I played assistant professor at a university class tonight (like I needed something else to add to my list) and when I got home had to spend the first 1/2 hour cleaning wounds, checking incisions, giving meds, cleaning ears, etc. I keep looking at the clock wanting to go to bed.

I am tired...but these cats being on the mend is worth it.

Aeja (left), Lonnie (right) sharing a moment. They aren't bonded and will be adopted out separately. They spend little time together. [IMG]

Hang in there, Mary_NH. They sure are beautiful cats. You're a good person to be doing so much for these cats. :y_the_best:
