New kitty likes to suck on me

My new kitten Diesel has just turned 6 weeks and I got him when he was 5 weeks old. well for the past two or three days he figured out that I'm the one who takes care of him.

Well now when I lay on my bed with him he runs to the side of my chest and starts sucking on me trying to get milk out of me. lol. It's really cute but bothers me after 2 minutes of it.

He eats alot and drinks fresh water I leave him everyday.

Now he jst wants to suck on my chest or arm now and dosen't really play much.

Need help over here.

 

he was taken away from his mother too soon....when he starts doing this just remove him from the spot he's sucking on. He probably wasn't fully weaned when you brought him home.

There are laws in most states about removing kittens and/or puppies from their mothers before the age of 8 weeks - I wish people wouldn't take them home before they are ready. Yes if it is a kitten in bad conditions, orphaned, etc. it's necessary. But before 8 weeks of age is much too soon.

I brote the kitten home because his enviroment was much to Dangerous because the owner is some car mechanic and had a lot of dangerous machinery around and one of the kittens were sadly crushed by something. So I adopted one and got friends and family to adopted the others into safe normal homes.

I'm from Canada and I don't think we have a law like htat around here. but this was for a good reason.

I once took a kitten at 6 weeks of age from a cat collector. Sessy was a MESS - she had every parasite known to feline kind, her fur was gross with flea eggs...nasty nasty nasty. That woman had 30 cats and only a little cardboard box as a litterbox. My son was 4 years old at the time and he's never been known to be tactful - in a booming 4 year old voice he says "MOM HOW COMES IT'S SO MESSY IN HERE" I wanted to die.

But Sessy turned out to be a wonderful cat

so sometimes you have to do what you have to do

 

my cat garfield also likes to suck.. i found him when he was i think around 5 days old didnt even have his eyes open him and his 2 sisters we never found their mother so we bottle fed them and they r now a year old we only have garfeild and sassy and lost teddy bear not to long ago and dont know what happened to her... out of the 3 garfeild was my baby from the start as soon as i seen him he was MINE!! no matter what.... when my mom would go to feed them when i was at work garfeild refused to eat 4 her he woudnt eat till i got home and fed him... now here he is 1 year old and likes to try and nurse on me when i bottle fed them they were on my chest while i fed them so he will get on my chest whenever he gets a chance and start to try and suck on my neck wherevere he can... its cute the way he does it but its annoying and he just hurts... and i think why he does it is b/c he thinks of me as his mommy #1 and b/c he was taken away from his real mother way way way to early but then again i dont get why my other cat sassy dont do it she will just paw u till u cant take anymore...
