I think thats been in here before, there is also a law about only allowing your dog to run with you if your on a bike for a certain period of time (I guess some people ride for miles and exhaust the dogs).
Its interesting though, I like the addtional laws about not giving pets away as prizes, thats always been a 'pet peeve' of mine, especially at fairs were they seem to think that anyone and everyone would really like a goldfish....I remember years ago someone making a comment, words to the effect of "the kids love to win fish, we dont want any but we just flush them down the toilet after the kids go to bed" :x

Thanks for posting that Jamiya. I couldnt resist filling out the form :)

People flush them when they're still ALIVE??

We won a goldfish at an elementary school fair. It moved with us from the state of Washington to Ohio, traveling in a bucket in the car which was filled with enough water to keep the fish happy but not enough to slosh. Every night, it was carried into the hotel room. My dad thought it would die, but it didn't.

In fact, years later when my dad was wanting to get some tropical fish, we still had that goldfish. He was essentially waiting for it to die so he could set up the tank for the tropical fish. But it just kept on living! I believe I was in college when it finally died - the oldest goldfish ever.

In munich there is a law that says you have to walk your dog ever 5 hours.
When i was 8 I won a whole bunch of goldfish at the fair (17 if I remeber correctly) 3 of them lived past the first month(Jennifer Joe and Chris). most of them died by the next morning. about 3 years later my vac. bible school did a fishermen theme and someone had brought in a baby pool full of minnows for it, I got one and named it timmy. One day I decided to clean out the tank and put really hot water back in the tank (i didn't know) so Jennifer didn't adjust so well, I thought she was going to die, when I woke up in the morning, there were 5 fish! My mom had gone out and bought another fish, which she thought looked just like Jennifer, so then there was Baby.
Chris was the first to die when i was 15, then Timmy, then Baby and Jennifer just after I turned 18, then Joe finally died (or quite possibly was killed) when i was 22 and my dad was selling the house.
I never would have imagined these fish that i won by tossing a pingpong ball in a glass would have ever lived that long. I wouldn't believe it if someone else told me.

    Yes.

My daughter came home one day with a bucket that she found next to the trash can outside for the apartments we lived in. There was a koi (I think it was a Koi, it was big) in it still alive. It died on the way to the hospital but we had no idea how long it had been out, there was actually some trash in the bucket (like a couple of candy wrappers), who knows how long it had been out there for, and it was a hot CA day. :(

I wonder if thats also the law here as well, I know at the shelter that they wont adopt a dog out to you if they know you work all day, I think they have a '4 hours only' policy. Its okay if you work all day and can be home for like a lunch break but if your gone 8 hours a day, 7 days a week you cant adopt a dog.
