I dont know if ive posted this yet but my new 55g tank is all set-up it has the fish in it. I got 2 dempseys (they are seriously the most boring fish ever) im getting a AC500 to run with my fluval 204 :y_the_best: Im serioisly considering trading the dempseys in for some other types of fish they dont move all they do it just sit there and flap there fins

Are they showing any signs of disease/illness?

What are your water parameters? IIRC, your tank wasn't even done cycling when you added then cons.

How long have they been in there?

They are getting better they are just sy, I used that cycle stuff with cons and i had them for over a week before i got JD's and the tank ran for over 2 weeks before I got my JD's and I used Fishless cycle stuff. they are swimming around right now its just when i go near the tank they hide

You found your Jack Dempseys boring? I bet you wish that you had kept your cons, huh.

But what are the water parameters?

Just because you started a fishless cycle (but never finished), added Cycle, and put fish in there, doesn't mean the tank is actually cycled.

I still have cons in a diffrent tank but im giving them to a friend. I just hope they will settle down soon. I guess it takes a while for them to get used to the tank. they were moved alot at the LFS
