Newest member to the family! (human)

Well after days of labor and 22 hrs of induced labor and finally an emergancy c section, little Emma was born! She was born at 9:51pm July 11th and was 9lbs 2oz, 21 inches long. We got to bring her home Tuesday evening and introduced her to the fur kids.

Precious has taken it upon herself to be her "guardian". No matter where Emma is, Precious is right near her. When she cries, she gets a wierd look and then comes to us as if to say "do something!!!".

Just wanted to share my little bundle of joy and to all you parents out there, I dont' know how ya'll did it, but i respect you to a whole new level!!! A dozen puppies is wayyyyy easier than one lil human baby!

 

Congrats! Emma is beautiful! Enjoy every moment with your precious little princess.

It wont be long and you'll have a routine figured out that works for your family. The best advice I was given...rest when the baby does.

 

FINALLY!!!! Emma's quite a looker and precious definately loves her!!!

I have been popping online checking ALL the boards wondering what the heck is going on in your neck of the woods with that baby development and whatnot. SOOOO good to hear you're both doing well!!!

 

Aww thanks. Its been hard getting online. I still hurt alot. Not sure whats going on inside me but geeze.. C sections are NOT fun for sure!!!
Emma has definately turned this house upside down.

Precious showed her true colors to towards the baby's welfare yesterday. I had emma on the couch in her bouncer and precious was in her usual spot and my mother in law just came walkin in and Precious jumped up and lounged at the door!!! Luckily she closed the door jsut in time, but she definately meant business that NO one comes in this house without her knowlege! LOL

She got a big bone for that one. (one of these days that woman is gonna learn to stop barging in my house unannounced!!!)

Thanks. Thats my lil Emma Bear... She's got all of us wrapped around her lil fingers already. She was two weeks old today.
