Not dogs but ATTACKING BIRDS!

Check out this internet article about attacking birds here in downtown Houston. Actually this is happening right in front of the building where I work. There are three Magnolia trees planted in a bed between the sidewalk and the street and the birds are nesting in thoses trees and aggressively protecting their territory. Monday when theses attacks started it was the buzz all over the building. People were either using the rear entrance or going through the tunnel system to avoid the "terror lurking outside".
Truly reminded everyone of the scene in "The Birds" where the crows attacked. One would have expected the police to call in the SWAT team and they would have incinerated the trees with a flame thrower but happily they have just cordoned off the sidewalk to keep people away until the birds move on.

He tripped any injured his FACE? I'm sorry, I know that's not funny but....

Dukesdad, did you see anyone falling to the ground? It sounds sort of excessive. I think I might be inclined to run, personally. :)

:D Ive seen that a couple of times.
Theres a huge swans nest near where I live now, its under the balcony of an apartment (the building is close to a river), the tenants wont 'dare' go onto the balcony right now and no-one will go near the area, if the female isnt sitting on her egg the male is gaurding it 'ferociously'....the locals are used to it this time of year and wont let anyone remove it.

we don't have a problem with the birds attacking, but for a while we had a bird over population problem. It drove alot of people crazy bc the birds pooped all over their cars when they parked in the downtown area. So the town decided the best way to help the problem was to kill off the birds! I was not attached to the birds, but I thought it disgusting that people would rather find a dead bird than some bird poop.

I think i have a problem with the blue jays attacking my cats. I have had 3 of my cats to the vet recently with looks like bird pecks at first i thought it was fruit bats but the neighbor said she saw the blue jays come down on my cat and when she went to shoe it away it tried to attack her. It's kinda funny now when the birds fly by (or in my yard) my cats haul butt in the house. I'm not sure how to stop the stupid birds you would think my cats would get them but they run
