That crazy cat just sat there holding her paw under running water. A few minutes after I took this pic she stuck her head under there! I had to remove her colar because it was soaking wet LOL

Thats so cute :) I had a cat who played in the water all of the time like that, he actually wouldnt drink water unless it was coming from the tap at that very moment.... i always thought it was kinda odd but pretty neat none the less. lol

By the way, your cat has really pretty markings :)

Thanks Tasha, and welcome to the forum!

Booger is such a clown. She cracks me up daily. I've heard of some cats that love water but I'd never seen one in real life. Booger has been showing a fascination with running water for months but this is the first time she's actually emersed herself and it didn't bother her at all. She was amazingly curious about the running water on her paw.

Boogers cat swap partner does the exact same thing! He will sit with his paw under the water for the longest time... Looking on it from different angles and licking on it from time to time
He'll even lies in the sink while he drinks from it:

LOL LOL I love that pic Bente! That is so funny! I'll have to try the bathroom sink on her hehe

The trouble with Booger doing this is that she won't let me dry her off. She thinks the towel is a toy and I'm playing with her. It's like a game of tug of war LOL

    OH YOU GUYS!!! :D

those are the best pics....!!!

Q: why do kitties like running water???
A: there is more oxygen in running water than standing water. and the fresher the water, the more oxygen is in there!!!

Two very cute pictures. We took care of a kitty named Scooter for a short time and he loved to drink water from the sink. He didn't get under the water or anything but would turn his head to get to the drizzle coming out of the spigot. :)

i love those pics!!! lynn i knew there was more oxygen in the water... but it never dawned on me thats why cats like it more... i always thought it was coz they are just 'la-tee-dah' ya know?

hehe i wish my kitties liked water like that. i think if Raz could see he would.

LOL that's funny rcrgal. My hubby is just amazed and amused at the way Booger plays with and drinks the water. It's become ritual here that when I wake and make my morning tea, I have to keep the faucet running so that Booger can have her morning drink. She really loves it too. She'll lap at it and stick her paw in it, then lick it off for about 5 min.
