Now Zoey's got a problem

She seems to be tee-teeing a little and not know it! It happened yesterday morning but then she peed a whole puddle and I didn't actually see it happen. But this morning she was watching me brush my teeth and moved on the bathroom rug where she was sitting and there was a little pee. She was oblivious--didn't turn to sniff or anything. I rushed her outside and she went, but looked a little confused because it wasn't the usual routine. I called the vet and she said it could be hormones?? But she wants to run kidney function tests before we just assume hormones. All I heard while I was talking to her was "cha-ching"! Geez, when it rains it pours!! I already owe so much for Brie's problems.

Has anyone had this happen? Oh yeah, she's spayed and 10 years old. Other than that, she's fine and playing like normal.

could be incontinence and they'll probably prescribe either a hormone or PPA - make sure they also do a urinalysis cause it could be a urinary tract infection which would require antibiotics.
Good luck - been there, done that with our Sadie dog for years.
Last year she had to wear doggie diapers. I bought WalMart brand pullups, cut a hole for her tail and used those. Worked fine.

Doggie diapers for years!!??!! What's PPA? But the medicine didn't fix the problem?? :? I did a urinalysis today and it was OK. She didn't leak any this morning either--but I took her outside an extra time. Someone is peeing on the wee wee pad during the day but who know which dog?? Can it be an off and on problem? Kinda seems like a waste for me to take her in for an exam but I'm going to call the vet back tomorrow. Thanks for the info! :)

Ok, nevermind. I saw the vet today and Zoey is now on PPA for the rest of her life. I understand about the problem now :( . Still sad though.
