This is a bit off subject, but does include our doggie friends. If you have to pay that much for gas, then you are spending less on your dogs!!!

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT
PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE
OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF
OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
    COMPANIES.

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM" DAY
AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE
    THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY
PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS
    NOT
GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES
THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT
THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING
COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON
EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING
MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY,
WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE
    YOU
KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF
THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

Same here. Rosenberg's gas went up 9 cents since yesterday!!!

Schulenbergs gas for regular unleaded is $2.07 a gallon!!!!

I'm sorry, but I can't afford $60 ever third day to fill my truck up! I have enough to worry about than having to worry about if I'm going to make it to work or not!!!

What hurts is my pocket book. I'm suffering, of course my dogs and pets don't know the diffrence. Except for the horses who seem to think they are on vacation. WE don't travel around to rodeo's or comps, or shows, frankly ICANT AFFORD THE GAS!!!

I know where i live i have paid as much as 2.27 per gallon and its 30 miles one way to work i really cant afford that either it is so stupid that we have to pay that much it really hurts my pocket book also i'm a single mom and i have to run my kids everywhere, soccer, baseball, school concerts (my son is in band also) and 10 bucks doesnt even get me anywhere it stinks

It cost me 5 bucks to fill up a gas can for the lawn mower it used to be 2.00 it is stupid

Oh I am game, I filled up my car the other day and its $6 more than last week, not to mention about $8 more than a few months ago. Thats $32 a month just for my car, not to mention my husbands SUV, Ouch. we are 2.25 for reg unleaded

You go that right Sam, it affects all of us one way or another like not being able to take your pet to the vet or feed your family.

    Hi, you're right, it's rediculous!
It's going up to around £4.50 a gallon here tomorrow, I think that's about $7

I was over there last year and drove from New York to Warren, Ohio, around for 3 days whilst I was there and then back to New York for £40, it was heaven!

    I didn't want to come home :(

OH my NIK!!! Here I feel stupid for complaining about oru $2 crisis!!!! OUCH!

I just think that if we all make a stand, especially when the supply is not in jepardy. Did you know that Texas has enough oil and gas to fuel the world for up to 123 years!!!!!! And thats just on what we've already drilled.
I know, Granvel is in the oilfield business.

IT just pisses me off that they are raising the gas prices, because they know we'll pay it. We don't have a choice. Their being greedy and want others oil, when we're exporting just as much as their importing. HOW STUPID!!

I am in! I just bought a new truck in January. I am going broke trying to keep gas in it. I live in the sticks and everything is at least 30 miles away. Plus my mom has been sick and she lives in another town so I have been driving her everywhere! Almost daily! That adds up to for me about a tank every other day! GRRRR!!!! I am forwarding that message to everyone I know!

The gas prices are Crazy! My husband just bought a little festiva to drive to work because he drives 60miles to work one way and the festiva gets excellent gas mileage cause it's so small. The funny thing about it is my husband is 6ft 270lbs so when he gets in that car it is sooooooo funny!
He looks like he's driving a pregnant roller skate

Best u all move to Australia :D just before this last petrol hike, we were getting it for AU$0.76 per litre - it's now about AU$0.86 lowest. Mind you we are all madly complaining about it over here

  12. kyles101

    kyles101 New Member

gailau there are 3.5 litres to a gallon. so that means if they had our prices they would be paying 3 dollars a gallon for fuel, and if they had western australias prices theyd be paying 3.50 a gallon lol. costs me 25AUD to fill up my car every week. thats 17 USD a week. id be on cloud nine if i could fill up my car for 32USD a month lol. sooo, stay well cleap of australia!!

Me too! In re-reading the post that came from, I think honeybears was stating the INCREASE each month she pays, due to higher gas prices. I could be wrong.

At about one tank of gas a week per car, we are paying about $100/month x 2 cars (= $200/month) for gas. Sheesh.

where I live it takes my paycheck to fill up the car to go buy a gallon of milk - between the gas and the milk I'm broke :x heaven forbid I'd want an ice cream for the trip then I'd have to refinance my house to pay for it

We're in the ornamental iron business and so far our steel has tripled in price because it's all going to China. Gas is 2.30 a gal. I'm freaking out that this could put us out of business. So, when I freak out, I like to eat. I go to the store, 3.30 for a gal. of milk, 5.50 for a lb. of hamburger, 4.80 for a lb. of butter. WHAT THE HECK?!?!

Good thing wine is still affordable!
