Hi Im new here,I have to wonderful Somalis,

My female cat is an indoor cat,I had no plans to let her out however she escaped two weeks ago,she was out for an hour then came home,Last week she went out for 48 hours and I thought I had lost her for good :( she came home and she smelt,I dont know if she was in heat or not but she smelt of what I think is a tom cats spray,it may not be but it seems odd that she went away then came home smelling.

I know ppl are going to say I should have got her spayed and I honestly was going to,she was not supposed to get out but I made a mistake and now ive put it right to make sure it does not happen again

So do you think it is likely that she is pregnant? when will I be able to tell?

Can I still get her spayed? or do you think it is wrong to do if she is pregnant? id be willing to keep all the kittens and I can give them a great home so Im not to sure where I stand on that one,id be happy to have them but my main prioroity is the cat I have now, thanks in advance for any help

get her spayed....if she's pregnant let them abort the litter, if she's not that's wonderful.
#1 you don't need to add to the already growing number of cats and kittens in shelters with millions being PTS daily
#2 it's much healthier for your cat to be spayed
#3 spayed cats live longer than unspayed cats

When I got Sabrina spayed, she was knocked up. They aborted the litter without even asking me, but I would have said to anyway. Anyway, she healed fine.

good for you....you ARE a truly responsible pet owner if you are willing to spay/potentially abort than add to the already stressed out population of kittens. My local shelter is already so filled up with cats and kittens (kitten season) they can't take in anymore - breaks my heart to think of what happens to the little ones that can't be taken in
