    I'll send Zeus (kidding - again...sorry I'm in a silly mood today).

Anyway if you would PM me with your snail mail address aka postal mailing, name(s) of your cats and put in the subject line CAT SWAP I will keep track and work on matching people up. If you prefer to not get someone overseas let me know so I can match you with someone in your country (hopefully that will be possible).

We should keep the cost around $10...but if you decide to spend more that's entirely up to you.

Purchase a gift(s) for your cat swap buddy's cat and if you choose to include a gift for your buddy that's also up to you (keep in mind chances are good you'll get a gift).

What else...oh deadline date to participate. What will work - November 13th.

Please get me all necessary info by November 13th, via PM, and Ill get your buddy's info back to you hopefully that weekend, unless I get hit by a bus.

    This will be fun.

is this supposed to be like a secret-santa thing where no one knows who's who's partner? or does it not matter?

yes...I'll send the buddy to each person PM. It's more fun if no one else knows - until items are received then we can share :) But you'll be exchanging gifts with the person you receive a gift from...that's more fair. Remember kitty items (toys, etc.) and if you choose a little something for the buddy. It doesn't have to be expensive - just a little something to show everyone here that we appreciate all the kindness/support and help we receive from one another.

Should general age of the cat be included?

I don't think age of kitty is important unless you have an older one that doesn't like to play with anything so catnip or something of that nature might be a good gift.
when you get your buddy you could always PM him/her to let him/her know the age of your cat(s) if there are any particular health concerns that might limit kitty. But, personally, I don't think it's cool to dictate what a gift should be since this is a "thanks for being here" kinda thing :D

Well it wouldn't really be dictating what a gift will be would it? I mean, I'd take it as more of a suggestion.

For example, Aoisha goes crazy over anything that's hot pink and/or smells like catnip. My other cat, Molly, could care less either way.

So, if someone sent me something saying that, I might have had an idea of what I'd like to send already and I'd possibly keep an eye out for it in hot pink. Or whatever.

I would hope that it would be mentioned if someone's cat has an aversion to something. My cats love catnip, canned food, any treats or toys... so, anything goes for my cats. But, I'd hate to buy someone a bag of catnip (as an example) if that person doesn't want to clean up after it / their cats could care less about it.

Then again, putting these details in coule be a bit daunting and really, I agree that it's a thanks for being here and we shouldn't question whatever gift it is.

importantly...if your cat has an allergy to items or for some reason there is an item you'd prefer to not be sent by all means please mention it in your PM so I can share with your buddy

A for instance...I cannot have those furry mice things as Sadie eats them and promptly spews the prettiest colored vomit you'd ever hope to see

so yes by all means something of that nature is important to pass along

I've done this before and you should also include when gifts should be sent out by. We could even do a guess who thread and then decide a date to announce who the real culprits are! That's fun anywho i'll def. be pming you!
