Old age ? ?

My friends Goldfish is in an approximitly 10 gall on tank filtered and every thing.

The fish is a 7 year old fancy.

She cleans it every month and does water changes weekly.

She feedes it normal goldfish food and nothing else.

Recently her fish has slowed down. Lokks normal.

Im going to test the water and get a picture as soon as I can.

Is this old age?

Is there any thing That she can put in there?

Would a snail be ok?

 

How big is the goldfish?

 

If properly cared for, goldfish can live for 20+ years, so I doubt it's old age. Fancy goldfish actually get fairly large (6"+) and a 10 gallon really isn't large enough for a full grown one so I'm guessing it's probably related to water quality and/or stunting.

Its not big and never was big.


Keep in mind though this is not my goldfish.



Could she keep like a couple of snails with it?

Could she keep anything with it?

 

She shouldn't even keep the goldfish in that tank, let alone add things to it.

She cant get a new tank so shell leave it like that.
