Ok guys. I just got wind that more PMU foals/mares and stallions are on their way down!!
They will be here in Texas at the Magnolia horse auction Nov. 6th! Problem is, its a HIGH slaughter aution. Sooooo I'm making my way over there the 5th and 6th to see what I can buy to keep them from going to slaughter.

I'm going to try my hardest for Foal # 78, 74, and two belgian/perch mares. I also want to try for the stallions (as their the easiest to go to slaughter because no one wants them) but I don't know that I can accomidate them at the moment. SO any support will be gladly appreciated!!!

here's the farm thats sending them :

How much do they usually go for Sams? I'm looking to start a lesson program once I graduate and this would be a fun project for a horse to eventually use in my string. Just don't know if I can make it down there, since I'm in MO right now, and I only have a 2 horse bumper pull trailer..I'm from Texarkana, so the horse would be with my other horse there. My mom would be in charge until I was done (almost there!), but she'd love it...another baby, oh boy.

babies usually go for (and is very sad) around $100. Pregnant mares and stallions, usually between $200-400.

I would love a belgian stallion, but...I have no place for one.
Well, I called my mom, and told her about it and she was like "don't do this to me!! You know I'm gonna want to go get one!!" So I said "I know, that's why I'm telling you." So then she says "Well how am I gonna get it home?" (Two horse, bumper pull and her arm's in a cast) me.."I dunno, but I bet we could figure *something* out" Her "*sigh* ok..we'll talk about it...but you're dad will kill us you know." me: "Oh..I know..*laughs* but I don't live there any more, so I don't have to hear about it. Just thought I'd let you know about this" mom "yeah..Thanks a lot!!"

So, looking like taking one home might be a possibility. She likes 16 the best..I like 6 the best I think...but I love 13 the most I think...his personality just shines through that picture..but I like his conformation the least. But they're all super cute.

2, 22, 252 arent bad either!!! Ugh...I'll have a trailer full! I can fit 4 if I slant....but when we brought Taco home, she took up half the thing herself!!
But baby wise, I can probably fit 6. NOw, I just have to come up with the money!

oooh...i really like 252...22 just looks really morgan to me(i can't decide whether I love em or hate em...I showed one last year and the sucker was so talented, but his personality was annoying!), mom would love her though...lol I wish 133 and 62 were going to the sale..I want them both..hehe
    1..that's all I'm getting though...just one..I don't need any more than that.

yeah. Gonna have our hands full as it is. They are not tame. So anyone intrsted must know that.
They will be sold with halters but thats it. And they will run them in a chute to put them on. They are used to people walking around them, but thats it. They have not been handled.

They are all about 3-6 months old.

I don't know either. Horse meat over in Europe is a delicasy. Its also very expensive. THey use it alot in dog food, soap, glue, and many cosmetics.

Its horrible. I hope to get as many as I can, but my funds are very limited. So I'll do my best!
