On Judge Judy yesterday...

    Anybody see Judge Judy yesterday?

A woman was sueing (sp?) a man because his Pit Bull/Boston Terrier mix bit her daughter.

The idiot got the dog at a year and a half old AND WAS TOLD that the dog was 'skiddish' around kids. A year later (I think), he brings his two dogs with him to a picnic, at a park, OFF LEASH. The Pit Bull/Boston Terrier mix bit the little girl on the lip and she had to get 15 stitches. And the moron was trying to say it was the little girls fault. Which he WAS assuming because when he told the story, he said he didn't know which dog bit her. (So he wasnt paying attention.)
I think the dog was abused by kids before he got it, and he knew about it. He told the judge that he knew. So why bring a dog like that to a park, unleashed?

    The woman got $4,000

Dogs should never be at a park unleashed no matter what their past or breed is... Dog Parks are an exception to that rule but other than that in public I beleive all dogs should be leashed... I was and am afraid of dogs as a child etc...and a dog OFF leash is asking for fear from the public period and I want my dogs to be legal etc. so I do all I can to make sure the "public" feels as safe as I can make them feel around my dogs. Right, well, we bring our dogs to the Lakefront BUT they are ALWAYS leashed.

I agree... and what moron brings a "Skittish" dog to a park off leash in the first place? I mean, if the dog got scared and ran off, do you honestly think he could catch it??? Ugh.....morons...

OK, For those who didnt see it....
Run From point A to point B (about 15 ft apart) Grab a three packages one at a time from point A, run back and put them in another box at point B.

    Catch,
You are wearing one of those protecion suits that the guys use to train protection dogs. About halfway to point A the first dog, a shepard about 70 lbs, is released on you. Drag your body and box back to point B with a dog attacking you. Box 2, same thing only Dog 2 is about a 100lb bandog!
Box 3, Same thing only they get this 140 lb bad to the bone bandog looking thing to attack you!!

I would guess that the 140 lb dog is as strong as a 200lb man and the suit is of little conselation as the poor fools are cringing in pain.

 About 10 years ago my sister use to work for a cleaning company. She went to this ladies house to clean, they had a Rottie, she bent down to pet the dog,and the dog bit her in the face.Tore her lips apart,my sister had to have plastic surgery done on her lips. She still has the scar. She's scared to death of dogs now.

It's the owners fault, that dog should've been crated while Darlene was there cleaning. She got 7000 for what happened.

Some people want to mask or hide the fact that dogs do protection work and the need and sport is alive and well, as well as the dogs who excell at this work. Then again maybe im just a dumbed down american.

    I liked Sara's comments! :y_the_best:

MaxKellyAST, I think Jamiya was talking about 'reality' shows.

Even though I do watch some 'reality' tv shows, I didn't take it personal.
Thats her opinion. Everybody has their own.

I sat and watched Judge Judy's show. The owner was a complete idiot. He had no right bringing the dog to the picnic. It just shows how irresponsible he was.
