One of my kittens has a sore bum

House is almost 6 weeks old....lastnight I noticed his butt looked pretty red and the area around his butt was wet. I then saw him trying to poo on the floor so i picked him up and put him in his litterbox. He went #2 and it was soft but not runny, his bum was messy after and Momma licked him clean, but i think she is licking him too much cause his bum looks raw, and swollen.
Otherwise he is normal and healthy. Im guessing the reddness is from Mommas constant cleaning of his bum area but i dont know for sure. None of the other kittens have this problem.

I can take Momma and the kittens into work today and have the doctor check him out but my only concern is that they havnt had shots yet cause they arnt quite 6 weeks yet. And im working today so they will have to stay there for about 6 hours or so. They turn 6 weeks in two days, can i give them their vax two days early?

Or should I treat House at home and if so with what? If Momma doesnt leave his bum alone the poor guy will be a real mess soon. He is the biggest of the bunch and eats wet food, I could seperate him for a day or so till his bum gets better?

    Help!lol

    Thanks

Problem may be with momma being too attentive, may be something else.

i'd say 2 days early is ok for vacs... but you should try to get a stool sample and get it anaylsed by the vet to see if there is some cause for his ailments.

poor little furry.. keep up informed.

I was also going to suggest just bringing in a stool sample.
