I have a new 29 gallon aquarium and i have an Emperor 280 Filter.
This might be a dumb question, but is it better to put the filter on one end of the tank or right in the middle?

    Thanks!

It probably doesn't make that much difference, but in the middle would probably be a little better. Of course on all my tanks the filer inlets are towards the ends of the tanks and I've never had any problems.

When I place my filter in the middle, sometimes there is a problem with the flow interfering with feeding. The output of the filter can blow all of the food (especially flake) off of the waters surface. This could lead to too much food on the substrate not being eaten.
I vote for the filter on the side. 8)
