out door bird boxes for shelter what to use???

    Hi if your friend is keeping her birds outdoors she will need a shed or some form of shelter where they can go when it gets too windy or raining heavy so they can stay warm.

    Nesting boxes are just for nesting and laying eggs placing one in with the birds will promote them to lay if there is any females in there so i would advice to take that away.

    All in all she outdoor birds should have an aviary which is a shed for them to sleep in and a wire mess front so they can sit outside in the sun or when there is light rain.

    Here some links to what an aviary looks like and should be used for birds outdoors they dont have to be this big.
