Over Vaccinated corgi at vet

I need some info here thursday I took my corgi to the vet to get his shots he got Corona,Parvo and dewormer and now hes real sick dehidrated and hasn't eaten in a day or to now hes at the vet. They ran tests and couldn't find anything I called the breeder I got it from and she said having all 3 of those vaccinations are to much for his system. Then I called the vet and complained and told him what the breeder said and he told me he doesn't follow the advice of a breeder she has no certificate. Then told me to go research what vets don't give all those vaccinations at once.

 

There is a lot of controversy over vaccinations, how often, how many, and if it's even possible to overload an immune system with vaccinations, given the number of disease causing organisms an animal's immune system deals with at any given time.

Many vets no longer give the corona vaccination, considering it not to be one of the core vaccines.

Your dog may have had a reaction to the vaccine. That does happen from time to time. Or it may be something totally unrelated. Most diseases have an incubation period of several days, and your dog could have been incubating something prior to the vet visit. Hopefully your vet can sort it out in short order.

And yes, a lot of vets resent breeders who offer opinions. Especially when they don't know the individual personally, and have no way of knowing if the person has enough education to know what they're talking about. I've heard some breeders come up with some pretty far out things. Things that have little or no basis in fact.

 

Well as a breeder, I do know that I vaccinate all of my puppies, I use one shot dosages. Usually the Spectra 7. Soem puppies can have mild to severe reactions to it. I know when I got my HepatitisB vaccinations for school, i was VERY sick the day after. However, i do not reccomend giving more than one treatment a day. I will wait a day or two to deworm, and give any other needed vaccinations such as rabies, bordatella, lepto.... Just my way of thinking.

 

He only got two vaccines correct? Not three. Parvo and Corona combo. That shouldn't be too much for his system I would think. Although a lot of people don't give Corona anymore, this disease isn't as common as some others, its similar to parvo but generally less severe.
